NACAR Crew Race:

NASCAR takes over Middleford Speedway… The Dover race weekend brings special visitors to the track. This year five of ten visiting NASCAR crew members got behind the wheel and had a race of their own. The race winner, Ryan Flores, also took home a ¾ Scale Late Model win proving his skills are not only under the car hood. Brent Wentz started in the race lead as Bob Decker and Flores battled behind him. Flores took over the 2nd position and set his sights on Wentz using the high groove to get around and take over the race lead. Flores didn’t look back as he was the first to cross the finish line.  Complete results are:  1) 80, Ryan Flores – Mechanic, Jamie McMurray   2) 33, Bob Decker – Truck Driver, Carl Edwards   3) K&B, Brent Wentz – Rear End Mechanic, Matt Kenseth   4) 1, Austin Konetski – Front End Mechanic, Matt Kenseth    5) 3D, Kyle Lewis – Mechanic, Carl Edwards

270 Micro Sprints:

Mike King gets the 270 win …  Mike King made his move late in the race to get the win in the 270 micros. King started the race in the fifth spot while Ken Lester and James Cubbage had the front row. JT Knight was fast getting his machine to the lead, moving from his sixth position to the lead on the first lap. Knight, however, would eventually end his race in the infield with car problems.  King had a rough start to his race, spinning and bringing out a caution and sending him to the rear. Lester and Justin Jones brought out the next caution as racing became close and the two cars were caught together. The restart had previous winner Kellie Lewis on the front of the pack with King right behind her. The two raced closely for several laps. King challenged Lewis but was unable to take over the first place. As the two cars began to work through lapped traffic with less than 5 laps to go, Lewis got caught behind a slower car as King made a nice move to go high and around to the lead. King would complete the race in front with Lewis closely behind .    Complete results are  1) 92B, Mike King   2) 88, Kellie Lewis   3) 7, Justin Jones   4) 29, Ken Lester   5) 99, Kensey Lewis  6) X1, JT Knight (DNF)   7) 11, James Cubbage (DNF)

600 Micro Sprints:

A big win for Stephanie Jones… The 600 Micro feature race was fast and furious as Stephanie Jones deservedly crossed the finish line first, following a hard-fought race. Jones lined up for the race in the 4th spot beside last week’s winner Dean Seemans and behind the front row of Ryan Thimatariga and Jeff Coffey . It only took a couple laps for Jones to get her car to the front of the pack while Jeremy Lynch rocketed his car from 7th to 2nd, using the high groove of the track. Lynch was pressured by Matt Esham for the second spot while Joey Startt and Todd Carmichael raced hard behind them for the 4th position. Jones maintained her control as she led the group. Lynch drove the high line, at one point grabbing the lead from Jones but she was not going to give up her spot and returned the favor, regaining the lead.  It was a close sprint to the finish for the first two but Jones chose the low groove giving her the straight shot to the checkered flag.   Complete results are  1) 65, Stephanie Jones   2) 91L, Jeremy Lynch   3) 18M, Matt Esham  4) 19G, Joey Startt   5) 77, Todd Carmichael  6) 19, Jason Warfield   7) 3D, Dean Seemans   8) 2, Jeff Coffey    9) 76, Ryan Thimatariga

A caution grouped the field together for a restart with two laps left in the race. The restart had Biron in front followed by Weller and Nash in the 3rd spot.
