Justin Jones brings home the win … It was another week of exciting racing for the 270 class. Justin Jones would come out the winner in a race filled with wrecks and broken cars. Frequent winner at Middleford, JT Knight had the pole position for the race with EJ Holz beside him on the front row. Knight grabbed the lead with Holz, James Cubbage and Charles Cobourn on his heels. Cubbage was holding on to the third spot when his car came to a halt on the track collecting the 88 car of Kellie Lewis. Both cars were done for the night, Lewis with a hand injury as well. Jones took advantage of the restart to make his move through the field. As he made his way around Cobourn for the 3rd spot, Knight, leading the race, would end his evening , bringing out a caution for mechanical problems. Holz was in the front position for the restart but his car gave out on the track, once again mechanical problems ending a drivers’ night. 600 Micro Sprints, 20 Laps:
It’s Win #1 for Dean Seemans… The 600 micro race started out on a somber note as the cars came to a stop on the front stretch and the crowd paused for a moment of silence in to honor the memory of driver Matt Esham’s mother who passed away recently.. Once the race began, it was the Dean Seemans show. Seemans, who only moved into a 600 mid-season, showed that he can race with the most experienced drivers and hold his own. Following a heat race win, Seemans lined up in the pole position with Joey Startt alongside. The race got off to a rough start with contact in the front group sending Jon Warfield on a two-wheel stand and collecting Ron Crossley. Crossley’s damage would end his race, Warfield was able to refire and continue on. Seemans led the herd to another start with Joey Startt and Matt Esham right behind. Once again contact in the front of the pack brought out a caution as Startt and Esham were entangled. Both cars were able to continue the race once they were separated. Jason Warfield had worked his way safely up from the 9th starting position to second behind Seemans. Luke Thomas drove the 97 car to the third spot. Seemans would race all 20 laps in the front without a mistake.
