Feature Race Results:

270 Micro Sprints, 15 Laps:
Wix scores the 270 Micro checkered flag  ….Mike Wix lined up beside JT Knight on the front row to start the 270 Micro feature race. Knight was quick to take the race lead on the first lap while Wix battled with Ken Lester and Hank Steller for the two, three and four spots. Knight maintained a comfortable lead for much of the race with Wix carefully trailing. Kellie Lewis, previous Middleford winner, drove a great race maneuvering her way through the crowd from her last starting spot. Mechanical problems slowed Knight’s car and the leading band of cars made their way around him with Wix in the front. Wix moved out to a large lead to the checkered followed by Lewis, Lester, this week’s Seven car driver  Chris Hitchens, Steller and Knight. 600 Micro Sprints, 20 Laps:
Crossley drives the winning race…. It was survival of the fittest as only six cars finished the 600 Micro feature race. The race began with Snookie Vent lined up on the pole alongside Jason Warfield with Luke Thomas and Bill Unglert on their heels. Vent led the race as Thomas made a pass to take over second spot. A spin by Warfield moved him to the end of the line. Genie Smith worked his way through the crowd from his 6th place start to 2nd before mechanical problems ended his night as Crossley and the 11 car of Tyler Tank battled hard for fourth. As Vent and Thomas began working lapped traffic, contact was made at the end of the pack and the 2 car of Jeff Coffey was sent for a spin in front of the leaders. Six cars would end their night including Vent and Thomas. Crossley took over the race lead and pulled away from the group for a comfortable win.  Jon Warfield drove a smart race, starting in 13th position, working his way to an eventual second place finish. Rookie Mod Lites, 15 Laps:
Two wins, one night for Brandon Watkins as he leads the Rookies across the line ….. Brandon Watkins had the pole position for the Rookie feature race and held on to that spot for all 15 laps. Zac Weller, winner of the last feature for the Rookies,  lined up beside Watkins for the start, was sent to the rear of the field for a jump, then worked his way back to a fourth spot. The 49 car of Josh Clark had a spin that brought out a caution and moved him to the back of the pack but he fought his way back up to a strong finish in third spot behind Chace Biron.  Complete results are 1)4, Brandon Watkins  2) 29, Chace Biron  3) 49, Josh Clark   4) 1, Zac Weller  5) Z14, Stacy Roberts   6) 27, Nick Nash

Jr Mod Lites, 15 Laps:
Watkins takes the win from the Jr’s  .... Brandon Watkins was one of two Rookie Mod Lite drivers asked to race with the Jr Mod Lites based upon their qualifying times. Regular Jr drivers Adam Weber and Derek Megee lined up in front of Watkins and Rookie Zac Weller in hopes of giving an exciting race for fans to watch, and it was. Weber held on to the lead position until cautions and restarts began to change the race. Watkins spun for a caution but quickly went back to 2nd spot on the restart to put pressure on Weber. With three laps to go, a spin by Weller brought out the yellow and ended his night with car problems. The restart had contact with Megee and Watkins with Watkins going around. The next lap would have Weber losing control and spinning to give up the 1st spot giving Megee the front for the restart. Megee was sent to the rear on the restart with 2 laps to go and Watkins took over the race lead and held to take the checkered flag.   Complete results are:  1) 4, Brandon Watkins   2) 20, Adam Weber   3) 96, Derek Megee   4) 1, Zac Weller

Pro Mod Lites, 15 Laps:
Two in a row for Richie Wilson…..In a race finish similar to two weeks ago, Richie Wilson battled hard with Tyler Hughes for the Pro Mod Lite win ending with Wilson emerging in front. Wilson had the pole for the race start with Donnie Ackenbrack beside. Hughes and Tony Aguilar lined up behind them and Shawn Weber had the final position. Hughes made fast work of getting to Wilson to put the pressure on as Ackenbrack and Aguilar both ended the night with mechanical problems. Wilson and Hughes were side by side taking the white flag for the final lap. Wilson drove steady and maintained his lead as the checkered flag was thrown.  Complete results are: 1) 15R, Richie Wilson  2) 8H, Tyler Hughes  3) 19, Shawn Weber  4) 70, Tony Aguilar  5) 91, Donnie Ackenbrack

TUSA Mod-Lites, 15 Laps:
Tyler Hughes takes another win in the TUSA’s…. It was three wins in a row for Tyler Hughes. Hughes battled with the 72 car of Tyler Reed for second position behind pole sitter Shawn Weber with Hughes taking over after Weber got loose and collected Reed’s car for a caution. The restart gave Hughes breathing room as there was hard racing behind him between Donnie Ackenbrack and Jimmy Wills for the second position and Tony Aguilar and Reed for the fourth spot. Ackenbrack won the battle for second followed closely by Wills. Aguilar got a little sideways as he neared the checkered flag allowing Reed to take the fourth place.  Complete results are:  1) 8H, Tyler Hughes   2) 91, Donnie Ackenbrack  3) 22W, Jimmy Wills  4) 72, Tyler Reed   5) 70, Tony Aguilar   6) 21, Kirk Miles  7) 19, Shawn Weber

¾ Scale Late Models, 15 Laps:
It’s Dylan Evans’ night for the win…. As usual the ¾ Scale Late Models started the race off with an exciting first lap as there was contact between all four cars. Kerry King came through the group in first and held the lead for several laps before contact with the 3D car of Ray Gulliver sent them both into a spin. Kings car was unable to continue the race. Evans took over the lead position in front of Scott Hitchens and Gulliver and wheeled his car to the win. Gulliver came through in second as he maneuvered past Hitchens.     Complete results:  1) 80, Dylan Evans  2) 3D, Ray Gulliver  3) 15, Scott Hitchens  4) K&B, Kerry King

NAPA Chargers:
Tubbs brings home another trophy…The NAPA chargers proved once again that they can race *at least* three wide at Middleford. The front row of Chris Martinez and Derek Swafford lead the thundering herd into turns 1 and 2 where there and down the back stretch were side by side by side cars. Jeff Carey in his X car assumed the first position until a flat tire sent him to the middle. Jay Worth took over the lead as Tubbs was charging through the field from his 6th starting spot. There was hard racing throughout the field, Derek Swafford and Charles Brittingham provided one of the best battles of the evening ending with Brittingham in the fourth position as Rip Johnson, from 13th, overtook Swafford. Tubbs and Worth raced closely but Tubbs was able to hold out for the checkered flag.
