270 Micro Sprints, 15 Laps:
JT Knight scores another 270 Micro win…. Last week Marco Michetti edged JT Knight out for a 270 win. This week Knight grabbed the lead and had no plans of giving it up. Knight moved to the front on the first lap ahead of pole sitter Justin Jones. Michetti started the race in the fourth spot moving his car around the 88 of Kellie Lewis and then taking second place from Jones. As the passes were taking place behind him, Knight was able to pull away from the field a cruise to the checkered flag. 600 Micro Sprints, 20 Laps:
Win # 1 for Stephanie Jones…. Stephanie Jones has had a few heartbreaking endings this season while leading a race but this week was hers to win. A start from the pole put her out in front of the pack with some tough competitors behind her. Genie Smith moved from his third starting spot around second place Joey Startt to put pressure on Jones. While working their way through lapped traffic, contact between Smith and Jones sent Smith for a spin while Jones maintained her straight course. Randy Oswald put pressure on Startt for the second place as Jones held on to a healthy lead crossing the finish. Oswald finished in the third spot, behind Startt, followed closely by Matt Esham and Jon Warfield. Rookie Mod Lites, 15 Laps:
Zac Weller gets his first Rookie win …..Young driver Zac Weller scored big this week getting his first win. He jumped out in front of the race from the pole position and kept that lead through many cautions and close racing. The 4 car of Brandon Watkins was on Wellers’ heels making contact as the race end neared but both cars kept pace and finished one and two. Stacy Roberts and Nick Nash had good runs as well making their way to third and fourth place finishes from sixth and seventh starting spots . Jr Mod Lites, 15 Laps:
Three wins straight for Derek McGee .... Adam Weber started the race in front and set the pace until the halfway point. That’s when Derek McGee made his move to take the lead. Pro Mod Lites, 15 Laps:
Richie Wilson scores the checkered flag…..Richie Wilson made his way around pole sitter Shawn Weber on the second lap of the race, Tyler Hughes was soon to follow. The two cars raced closely the balance of the race with Hughes putting pressure on Wilson but Wilson was not budging from that lead position. He cruised to the win followed by Hughes, Weber and Tony Aguilar. Complete results are: 1) 15R, Richie Wilson 2) 8H, Tyler Hughes 3) 19, Shawn Weber 4) 70, Tony Aguilar
TUSA Mod-Lites, 15 Laps:
It’s a repeat win for Tyler Hughes in the TUSA’s…. Tyler Hughes made it two TUSA wins in a row. Pole sitter Curt Miles, Jr. took the lead from the start and had pressure from behind by Hughes. Kevin McKinney made big moves taking his machine to the third spot. Tony Aguilar kept pace with McKinney but a spin moved him back and gave the 72 car of Tyler Reed a shot at making his move around McKinney. Hughes and Miles, Jr. continued to battle for the lead when a spin by Miles, Jr. sent him to the rear of the field and moved Hughes to the front. More cautions packed the group tightly. Hughes was able to hang on to that first spot while Reed was in second and Miles, Jr. made an impressive run back up to the third spot getting by McKinney. ¾ Scale Late Models, 15 Laps:
Three in a row for Kerry King…. The ¾ Scale Late Models got off to an exciting start with three-wide racing. The cars shuffled all over the track with Dylan Evans making it through to the lead. King made his move by Evans taking over the first position. A caution flag kept the four cars racing closely while King led the way, taking the win and the checkered flag followed by Evans, Ray Gulliver and Scott Hitchens. NAPA Chargers:
Tubbs returns to the winners circle… The NAPA Chargers provided their usual exciting show for the fans. The 89 car of Derek Swafford was first to take the lead. The cars grouped together and after more three-wide racing, Jeff Carey then took over the front spot. Carey held on to the lead until with just a couple laps to go, mechanical problems sent him to the infield. By that time, Kyle Tubbs had worked his way through the traffic from his fourth starting spot to second and with Carey retiring, he then had the lead. A tough battle took place between Jay Sipple and Tyler White for the third position with Sipple edging out White and pole sitter Swafford.
