Feature Race Results:

270 Micro Sprints, 20 Laps:

Andrew Locuson gets his 270 win …  Earlier in the season Andrew Locuson raced at Middleford, just missing the win, this time he conquered the track and took home the feature trophy. Locuson’s pole position start gave him the chance to pull away from the pack. The first half of the feature race saw cars dropping out as Locuson built a big lead over second place Ryan Wozunk. At the halfway point, the 92B car of Mike King took a flip on the track bringing out the caution flag. After the caution flag came out, Locuson made contact with a lapped car and he too landed on his side on the front stretch. Although King was done for the night, Locuson was able to continue on with a slightly damaged, wobbly wing. That wing did not affect Locuson’s performance as he once again pulled away from the field. Nick Walton took over the second place from Wozunk as Jack Spence and Billy Murphy followed. Locuson cruised to the finish, taking the checkered flag without waivering.     Complete results are  1) 6, Andrew Locuson   2) 02, Nick Walton   3) 15, Ryan Wozunk   4) 57, Jack Spence   5) 84, Billy Murphy  6) 7S, Roland Saxton   7) 11, James Cubbage   8) 3, Ava Mercado   9) 65, Dan Cogdill   10) 88, Jimmy Lewis   11) 92B, Mike King (DNF)   12) 99, Kensey Lewis (DNF)   13) 38, Chris Locuson (DNF)   14) 7, Justin Jones (DNF)   15) 61, EJ Holz (DNF)   16) 55S, Hank Steller IV (DNF)   17) 11V, Larry Rose (DNS)

Luke Thomas rockets to the 600 win…  A full field of 24 cars started the action packed 600 feature. Luke Thomas put on a show as he dominated the front spot. Rick Stief ran the entire race on Thomas’ heels but did not get an opportunity to make a move around him. Matt Esham had a solid third place run as the top three cars pulled away from the field between cautions. The first half of the race saw some cars drop out with mechanical issues. Bruce Ginther Jr had an unnerving flip down the front stretch following contact with another car, he was unhurt but his race was over.  The second half racing was just as exciting as Thomas continued his pursuit of the win. Jon Keller raced his K9 car through the pack ending in the fourth spot, closing in on Esham . Jr. Mod Lites, 15 Laps:

Zac Weller adds to his collection of wins... Zac Weller has found a good place moving from the Rookies to the Jr Mod Lites. The Jr mod lite feature got off to a rough start as contact between cars had them using the entire track to regain control to get the race under way. Weller held on to the lead from his start on the pole and made no mistakes along the way to give up the position. The first half of the race saw two cautions that kept the field together. A caution free second half gave Weller a chance to settle in and pull away to a comfortable lead over the rest of the pack. Weller would be the first to see the checkered flag followed by Adam Webber, Josh Clark, Nick Nash and Jonathan Laureigh.     Complete results are:  1) 1, Zac Weller   2) 20, Adam Weber   3) 49, Josh Clark   4) 27, Nick Nash   5) 74, Jonathan Laureigh

Pro Mod Lites / ¾ Scale Late Models, 15 Laps:

Ty Short gets a final lap Pro win as Ray Gulliver takes home the Late Model trophy …  The Mod Lites/Late Models put on an exciting show as Ty Short finds that patience can get a win. The race started with a hard battle between Richie Wilson and Dylan Evans in their mod lites. Wilson took the lead from his second starting spot as Evans was on his heels. Short took over the third spot from Derek Magee  as Evans was putting pressure on Wilson. The white flag signaled the final lap as Wilson, Evans, and Short rounded the corners. Evans was on the heels of Wilson going down the backstretch but got too close and made hard contact with the rear of the car. Both Wilson and Evans got out of control and swerved into the infield giving Short the chance to pass them both and take the win. Ray Gulliver followed Short to the finish to get his Late Model win followed by Magee, Wilson and Evans.    Complete results are: Pro Mod Lites:   1) 8, Ty Short   2) 96, Derek Magee   3) 15R, Richie Wilson   4) 91, Dylan Evans   5) 19, Shawn Weber (DNS)   6) 33, Kyle Cole (DNS)     ¾ Scale Late Models: 1) 3D, Ray Gulliver   2) 80, Mike Rogers

TUSA Mod-Lites, 15 Laps:

Paul McGinley claims another TUSA win …  The TUSA feature race started with a bang as there was a first lap spin by TJ Williams that ended his night. Shawn Weber was also caught up in the spin and was struck by the 17 car of Brandon Keim ending Weber’s race as well. The restart had McGinley in the front spot with Brandon Dennis and Tim White behind. White would take over the second spot as cautions kept the field close together. White put pressure on McGinley, moving high and low in an effort to take the lead. Mike Stratton made an impressive drive as he moved his car from an end of the pack start to challenge White for second place. McGinley did not give any space to White and held on to take the win. White and Stratton were side by side at the flag with White just edging out the second spot. Dennis came through in fourth followed by James Hill..     Complete results are:  1) 978, Paul McGinley   2) 93, Tim White   3) 1, Mike Stratton    4) 10, Brandon Dennis   5) 1, James Hill    6) 21JR, Curt Miles Jr   7) 9, Scott Tessman   8) 21, Kirk Miles   9) 17, Brandon Keim (DNF)   10) 19, Shawn Weber (DNF)   11) 77, TJ Williams (DNF)

Heat race winners:  (10) Brandon Dennis   and   (978) Paul McGinley

NAPA Chargers:

Joe Waters gets his Charger win…  It was a small group of Chargers that turned out to race but they put on an action packed feature. The race began with the usual side by side racing all through the pack. Heavy contact between cars as they worked their way through the turns. Track champion Kyle Tubbs was working his car into the lead position until a mechanical problem left him in the infield. Waters took over the race lead with pressure from Carey. Sipple, White and Merritt were all racing closely as they had their sights set on Waters. It appeared that Waters may not make it to victory lane as his car began to smoke as it was circling the track but the car held solid as he maintained the lead and took the checkered flag. Carey, Sipple, White and Merritt followed Waters to the race end.   Complete results are:  1) 88, Joe Waters   2) 1, Joe Carey  3) 27, Jay Sipple   4) 18, Wayne White Jr   5) 61, Ashley Merritt  6) 60, Kyle Tubbs (DNF)
