Feature Race Results:
JC White is becoming the standard opening feature race winner as once again he took the Jr Mod Lite trophy. This week he led Tyler Aichinger through the paces, cruising to victory.
The 600 micros took to the oval next with heat race winners Chad Clark and Jason Warfield on the front row. Clark, following a string of disappointing feature finishes and Warfield trying to add to his string of three feature wins in a row drove a smooth race, setting a fast pace for the field. With only one caution, the leaders worked through slower traffic without issue. Clark maintained his place in the lead as the checkered flag flew. Two time winner Jeff Coffey held fast in the third spot while Brad Hughes drove a good race, taking the fourth spot. Newcomers to the track this season, David Peterson and Tony Rose completed the field of finishers.
The barrels took a beating from the Open Mod Lites in their feature race. Winner Scott Tessman and second place Richie Wilson both had issues with them, sending the barrels for wild rides. Tessman led the race from the pole position with Wilson on his heels the entire race. Brandon Gallo got into the mix, taking home the third place.
One of those things was not like the other as the field of Chargers also included a lone Super Truck. Guy Mitchell, the Truck of the night, raced along with the Charger class for the evening. Chris Martinez scored the Charger win in what was a wild race. Three and four wide racing throughout the turns made for some bumping along the way. Mitchell moved his truck through the field, eventually taking the race lead from Martinez and moved out to a comfortable finish. Martinez scored yet another trophy as he cruised across the line. Daniel Hudson and Kevin Taylor followed Martinez as the top three Charger cars.
