Feature Race Results:
JC White took the first feature race win of the evening as the Jr Mod Lites ran through their laps. White added to his already impressive collection of wins as he led Ben Syester and Tyler Aichinger through the circuits.
Next up, Jason Warfield scored his third feature win in a row in the 600 micros. With a starting position in the second spot, Warfield was determined to grab another trophy. In an impressive run for the checkered flag, Warfield had pulled away from the field of tough racers by the halfway point, securing his victory. Frequent track visitors Luke Thomas and Tyler DeVault sailed through behind Warfield in second and third while Jon Warfield and Stephanie Jones grabbed top five finishes.
Always exciting, the Open Mod Lites brought close racing to the track. Richie Wilson took home the win while Paul McGinley and Jr Mod Lite racer JC White scored top three spots. Wilson led the race start to finish with McGinley and Scott Tessman in a hard battle behind him. Tessman’s car did not hold up and his race ended, leaving McGinley to grab the second spot. McGinley pressured Wilson hard for the lead until a caution with a slow restart with only 2 laps remaining gave Wilson the space he needed to grab the checkered flag.
The Super Trucks were super racy. Heat race winner Guy Mitchell took home the feature win as well, leading the field to the checkered flag. An exciting first lap mixer collected several trucks but all were able to continue on. Matt Long had a good run as he starting in the second position, got tangled up with Tyler White on the first lap and went to the back of the pack then worked his way right back up to the second spot again. Tom Lecates crossed the line in the third spot, White and Randy Gray rounded out the top five group. Mitchell’s wins award him yet another trophy to add to his impressive collection of wins this season.
The evening ended with a crowd pleasing neck-and-neck Charger race. Joe Waters took home the win following a great race with Chris Martinez. The two cars battled from the first lap to the last, exchanging the lead, running side by side, maneuvering through lapped traffic and Waters even took a wild ride through the infield at one point. Derek Swafford brought his machine to a finish in the third spot, moving up from his start in sixth. Cody Hudson and Woodchuck secured top five finishes as they crossed under the checkered flag.
